OFFICIAL FALKIRK FC ACADEMY SPONSOR
Street Lighting Supplies Limited are delighted to announce their renewed commitment to local youth development by becoming an official sponsor of the Falkirk FC Academy. Having previously been involved with the first team, the opportunity to support the academy set up and be actively involved at the beginning of the player pathway was a huge honor. We appreciate that the Academy has a special place in the heart of most Falkirk supporters, after producing countless talents over the years.
By nurturing such home grown talent these players often provide essential income to the club in player sales, but also allow fans to form a relationship with local players who have spent longer periods of time with the club.
The club currently has Under 16 and Under 18 Academy squads, from which 5 modern apprentices have progressed into a development squad for season 2023-24. It is the ambition of the club to have a full academy pathway by season 2026-27 to enable our young players to compete at the highest level of the youth game.
The funds raised from events such as the Speakers Night and Golf Day combined with the support provided by Street Lighting Supplies, will go a long way to ensuring that The Falkirk Academy can once again be one of the strongest in the country.
Street Lighting Supplies are Grangemouth based and are one of the UK’s leading suppliers of all outdoor lighting requirements. They previously sponsored the club in years gone by and have recently decided to come back on board, in order to support the reintroduction of youth development at the club.
Graeme Stewart, Commercial Manager at Falkirk FC said:
“The Falkirk Academy is something that means a lot to us all, therefore I am delighted that Street Lighting Supplies have decided to return to the club in order to help us to build it back up again. This is an extremely important project, and we are looking forward to working with Roger and the team on making this partnership a success.”
Roger Habberfield, Managing Director, Street Lighting Supplies said:
“It’s good to be back! At Street Lighting Supplies, we were proud to support the club previously, and now with the reintroduction of the Academy well underway, it is the perfect time for us to lend our support once again. We are excited to work with the club and to watch this partnership grow.”
